I started my culinary Journey 31 years ago! Of course like most young people I started out in a fast food chain at 14 years old. The owners I worked for were great but that’s the last corporate job I ever worked! I quickly moved on to private independent establishments, then deciding to go to culinary school. I am a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu. Best experience of my life! I set out at a young age determined that I wanted my own place. I didn’t want to work for the man!

At 28 years old with a lot of help from my husband, family, and friends that dream became a reality. Café Soeurette was born in Nov of ’07! Café had a successful run for 13 years but it became evident that it was time to get out of the basement, yes it was in a basement! So the husband and I started seeking out a new venue! The Precinct building was hard for me at first to envision a restaurant within it. My husband looked at me and said “take away all the walls go down to the studs” what can you do here?” he knows me. I could then see what I wanted it to be. Totally different than café, but so much more me! Once researching the building, I was so excited to find out it was originally the Germantown Police station and the “Precinct” seemed fitting to pay honor to those that keep us safe everyday!

I love working in my open kitchen every day! I don’t miss being confined to 4 walls like most kitchens. We hide nothing here!

We are completely exposed! We want to share all that we are doing with you! You know exactly where your food is coming from and what it takes to get it on your plate! Enjoy and hope to see you at the Kitchen Bar Soon!
